Since the nation's first college athletic event鈥攁n 1852 crew race against Yale鈥攁thletics have been a unifying force across the 草榴社区community.
A photograph taken at the 1913 Harvard-Yale game at 草榴社区Stadium. The stadium was full to capacity with some spectators standing on the roof over the bleachers. 草榴社区won, as noted on the photograph, 15 to 5.

The annual football rivalry between 草榴社区and Yale, know as “The Game,” traces its history back to 1875 when Harvard’s football team travelled to Connecticut and beat Yale on their own turf.
